greek police illegal punishment of 2 albanian thiefs

Speaking about police.. This video is from a central police station in Athens. 2 albanian thiefs are been tortured by greek policemen.

When it appeared on internet (last June 07) was a chaos in mass media/police.

The above policeman is now in prison because of that video.

The video has been recorder "for fun" by the mobile phone of a policeman (in May-June 06).

The above video as it has been presented by Reuters.. There is english translation of what is been said in the video..

You see also the Greek goverment report on the video. Violence and torturing within the greek police stations has been reported many times by HR groups.

All the lawers that work with immigrants in greece knows about violence of police. But it was the first time that a video appeared.. and appeared anonymously on youtube.

I forgot to write you that this video has been uploaded anonymously on youtube.. and immidiately athens.indymedia.org (anarchist/indypendent media) published on their page.

Immidiately the next day the video has been shown on greek television.

In Greece some journalist (mostly from the big greek tv channels) are blaming athens.indymedia.org that supports terrorism etc etc.. and requesting the shutdown of the site. Many times they are stealing news from that site.. and they don't mentioning the source.
